LB, Kiko Alonso

The New Orleans Saints linebackers had an injury problem last year. So much so that the Saints had to go out and bring back free-agent linebacker Manti T’eo to be a backup just because so many linebackers were injured.

This year, the went out in the draft and traded up into the third round and drafted a linebacker from the University of Wisconsin. Zach Baun has a great chance to come into the linebacking core and make an immediate impact.

However, that impact could be at the expense of Kiko Alonso. The eighth-year linebacker has been on found teams in those years. He has never played on a team for more than three years. There is a good reason for that.

This year, there is a strong possibility that Zach Baun steps into that versatile linebacker position which would make Alonso expendable. By the end of the year, I see Alonso being traded to another team for draft picks.
