OL, Larry Warford

In one of the most shocking events of the offseason, the New Orleans Saints selected transitional C/G lineman Cesar Ruiz from the University of Michigan. After most fans thought for sure that they would go for a wide receiver or linebacker, the Saints selected another lineman.

The New Orleans Saints already had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL and now it is even better. The only predicament is that they have more offensive lineman than they can start.

Someone has to go.

The New Orleans Saints just made guard Andrus Peat one of the highest-paid offensive linemen the NFL has ever seen, so obviously it will not be him. They traded up to select center Erik McCoy in last year’s draft, so I doubt it will be him either.

That leaves Terron Armstead and Larry Warford, both of which were Pro-Bowlers. However, Warford was already in trade talks before Ruiz was draft. One can only think Warford is on his way out sometime this year.
