New Orleans Saints: 3 no-name quarterbacks who’ll make more than Jameis Winston

Number Two: Ryan Griffin

Ryan Griffin is a 30-year-old backup quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who formerly played for the New Orleans Saints. Griffin has only thrown four passes in the NFL, completing two of them for 18 yards.

Griffin has a career quarterback rating of 62.5. The 6-foot-5 quarterback was on the Saints but never truly threw a pass in a regular-season game for the team. Griffin has spent his entire career as a third-string quarterback backing up Jameis Winston and Mike Glennon for most of it.

Winston’s former teammate and the backup signal-caller is still set to earn more money in 2020 than Jameis Winston as his 1.45 million dollar cap hit still exceeds the 1.1 million Winston is set to receive.

You can tell Jameis Winston truly doesn’t care about the money when he is taking million-dollar deals as a quarterback in the NFL and being out paid by his former backup’s backup.
