The New Orleans Saints signed Jameis Winston on a bargain of a contract, one laced with incentives that make it somewhat reasonable.

New Orleans Saints’ Jameis Winston had one of the most confusing markets throughout the offseason due to him leading the NFL in both passing yards and interceptions. But, he’s managed to find a home with the Saints.

The New Orleans Saints shocked the entire world when they somehow managed to sign former Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal-caller Jameis Winston to a one-year deal worth just over one million dollars but can near $5 million with incentives.

Winston was initially asking for 30 million dollars throughout the offseason but humbled himself to learn under Drew Brees and Sean Payton making New Orleans the new quarterback factory in the NFL. It will, in theory, be what Teddy Bridgewater did.

But, it comes at a cost. Here’s a look at a plethora, some of which aren’t exactly “no names,” that’ll make more than Winston. But, there’s even more.

Jameis Winston’s historically cheap contract not only gives him the lowest contract following a season leading the NFL in passing yardage, but he also has a contract lower than many NFL signal-callers who some may not know are still in the NFL.
