Number Three: Patrick Robinson

Patrick Robinson is an aging cornerback for the New Orleans Saints that really should have been cut last offseason. Robinson, 32, is far past his prime at the cornerback position. Robinson is a fan favorite and a former first-round pick by the Saints, but it’s time for the organization to move on.

Robinson can easily be replaced by the additions the Saints brought in.

The Saints brought in Deatrich Nicols from the XFL and they also signed West Virginia cornerback Keith Washington as an undrafted free agent. Those guys as well as PJ Williams, Marshon Lattimore, Justin Hardee, and Janoris Jenkins make Patrick Robinson the odd man out.

Robinson had just 16 tackles and two passes defended in 2019 and has struggled to stay healthy at times as well. The Saints should opt to release the veteran defensive back in exchange for some fresh legs.

That said, these three, at the very least, must produce or be at risk of losing their starting gig this coming offseason.
