New Orleans Saints: A look at the positives and negatives from the 2020 NFL Draft
2020 Negatives:
Although the Saints nailed some of their picks, they also missed on a few.
The Saints still need to address issues at both quarterback and cornerback, unless they truly feel the combination of Stevens and Hill can suffice behind Brees.
The Saints were originally set to have five picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, and after hundreds of simulations, it looked as if the Saints were going to address their needs in the following order; linebacker, wide receiver, quarterback, cornerback, offensive line.
The Saints opted to go a different route and surprise everyone with the pick of Cesar Ruiz, a pick in which nobody saw coming. The Saints passed up on elite talents like Kristian Fulton, Patrick Queen, and Jordan Love to take Ruiz, who may not even start right away.
Other than the serious talent the Saints passed up on, they did a great job and earn a B+ grade from me.
They addressed a few needs and started building up for the future of the franchise. What more can one ask?
