Cam Newton

Former division rival quarterback or not, Cam Newton has the skill still to be a starting quarterback and should be looked as such. He could also be the favorite to take over for Brees when Brees goes to the studio after next season.

The future in the hands of Cam Newton is something that I could seriously see and would want. In his last full season with Carolina, Newton threw for almost 3,500 yards and 24 touchdowns with receivers not named Michael Thomas or Emmanuel Sanders.

In his best season as a Panther, Cam threw for almost 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions. He was a first-team All-Pro as well as a Pro Bowler. He led the Panthers to the Super Bowl that year as well — even though they lost.

The New Orleans Saints would benefit greatly from Newton being a part of the team. If he could take over the team next year and take another year to get healthier, he could come back as the 2015 Newton we saw.
