Number One: Taysom Hill

Taysom Hill is currently the only other quarterback on the roster aside from Drew Brees, but the Saints may want to move on from him if they can secure their quarterback of the future in the draft.

Hill, 29, has never been a starting quarterback in the NFL yet the Saints want to make him one following the retirement of Drew Brees.

Lately, it seems, Hill hasn’t shown much interest in staying in New Orleans. Hill is refusing to sign his first-round tender contract in hopes of a long-term deal. It would be much easier to just deal him to a QB-needy team.

Taysom has only played in 25 percent of the Saints’ offensive snaps on his best year in 2019 and his injury history should raise eyebrows on whether they should make him a franchise quarterback at almost age 30.

The Saints are also rumored to be in the quarterback market.

If they choose to trade away Taysom, they can focus on grabbing a guy like Jordan Love or Jalen Hurts in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Saints need to be smart and weigh their options before deciding if Taysom Hill should be the future of the franchise.
