Round Five: Number 169 Overall

In the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, I have the New Orleans Saints drafting SMU wide receiver James Proche.

The SMU product is a fast, athletic wide receiver who not only displayed his insane talent of catching the ball in college but also returning it. Proche brings high-ceiling talent with him and will be a great player at the next level.

The collegiate star had a great career at SMU logging 301 receptions, nearly 4,000 receiving yards, and 39 receiving touchdowns.

Proche has all the ability you love to see from an NFL wide receiver, except for his height. Proche tied LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson with 111 receptions in 2019, but due to depth of the draft, he will likely fall to the later rounds of the draft.

James Proche is an athletic, multi-purpose wide receiver who could bring his skills and athleticism to the New Orleans Saints receiver room.
