The New Orleans Saints currently have just two quarterbacks on their roster, an aging veteran in Drew Brees and an inexperienced Taysom Hill.

The Saints have had a preliminary interest in a couple of signal-callers who will be available in the 2020 NFL Draft. Those two being Utah State’s Jordan Love and Florida International’s James Morgan.

Using a draft pick on a quarterback in one of the most talented and eep drafts in recent history seems pointless when you can load up on talent at other positions of need. The Saints could easily just trade for a veteran signal-caller who already has NFL experience.

The Saints lost Teddy Bridgewater, who they were seemingly hopeful would be the heir to Drew Brees. Now, they’ll have to work to defeat him, having watched the former Pro Bowl quarterback leave for Carolina this offseason.

The Saints need to bring in a veteran presence to help ease the pain of Drew Brees leaving, and one that could potentially help mentor and compete with Taysom Hill. Even if they aren’t the most experienced, the Saints will undoubtedly be adding another QB this offseason.

That said, here are three quarterbacks the Saints should try to acquire before the 2020 NFL Draft.
