Number Two: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is a Pro Bowl-caliber safety who the Saints undoubtedly should have signed this past offseason. Clinton-Dix, 27, is one of the best free safeties in the NFL and would have given the Saints long-term security at the position.

The Saints instead will have to make a decision on current free safety Marcus Williams whose contract is set to expire following the 2020 season. Williams has been effective and was one of the team’s better defensive players in 2019, but Clinton-Dix would have been a solid addition.

The former first-round pick has 522 career tackles, five and a half sacks, 33 passes defended, 16 interceptions, four forced fumbles, and one defensive touchdown since his arrival to the NFL in 2014.

Clinton-dix would have brought swag and incredible ball skills to a needy Saints secondary, but instead he will spend his career in Dallas for the time being.
