The New Orleans Saints enter the 2020 NFL Draft with five total picks but will need to find some diamonds in the rough to maintain their high level of success.

It’s almost a guarantee that the New Orleans Saints will draft one of the top linebackers (Kenneth Murray or Patrick Queen) if they’re available at pick number 24 in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

However, aside from the Saints’ third-round pick (missing a second), the rest of the Saints’ draft picks come in the later portion of the draft, forcing the scouts to do some major homework on late-draft prospects.

The Saints really don’t need much —  a backup quarterback, rotation receiver, and defensive depth should do the trick. With only two quarterbacks on the roster, it’s almost guaranteed that they still have to add depth there at some point.

Ultimately, the Saints don’t need much as they’ll be easily the preseason favorite to reign over the NFC South again. That said, here is a look at three players the Saints should consider drafting in the later rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.
