Number Three: Curtis Samuel

Curtis Samuel is a 5-foot-11, 195-pound wide receiver who currently plays for the Carolina Panthers. Samuel, 23, came into the NFL as a second-round pick by the Carolina Panthers back in 2017 and has been a solid selection.

Samuel has had an above-average career up to this point logging 108 receptions, 1,236 receiving yards, 66 first downs, 11 receiving touchdowns, and an 11.4 yards per reception average.

Samuel can also run the ball, doing so 31 times in his career for 278 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also shown to be capable as a returner. However, playing on the Panthers, securing another lethal threat from an inner-division opponent is unlikely.

Curtis Samuel has the ability to do a little bit of everything at the NFL level and could be a really good number three wide receiver for the Saints.

Samuel runs a 4.3 forty-yard dash and would help open up a bag of tricks in Sean Payton’s playbook. The Saints shouldn’t have to give up much to land him, a mid-round draft pick should do the trick.
