3 players New Orleans Saints should look into trading for prior to April 23 draft
Number One: Yannick Ngakoue
Yannick Ngakoue is a 6-foot-2, 246-pound outside linebacker and defensive end who currently plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ngakoue has voiced his displeasure of being on the Jaguars roster as he stated on Twitter that he no longer wanted to play for the organization. The Jaguars opted to place the franchise tag on him, making him even more unhappy.
The Jaguars are actively shopping Ngakoue to any team.
The Jaguars want a first-round pick for his services, and considering the Saints don’t have any remarkable needs in the draft, they could make an offer.
Ngakoue, 25, came into the league as a third-round pick back in 2016 and immediately became one of the best outside linebackers in the NFL.
Ngakoue was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team following his first season. Ngakoue was nominated to his first and only Pro Bowl in 2017 but has still been a dominant pass rusher.
Ngakoue has had a great career logging 122 tackles, 105 solo tackles, 42 tackles for a loss, 85 quarterback hits, 37.5 sacks, 14 forced fumbles, three fumbles recovered, nine passes defended, two interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns.
Ngakoue not only plays well on the field, but he plays on the field often, missing only one career game. The Saints should attempt to throw their names in the mix and try to acquire Yannick Ngakoue from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
