Round 4: #130 Overall

In the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, I have the New Orleans Saints selecting Gabriel Davis, a wide receiver from the University of Central Florida. Gabriel Davis is a 6-foot-2, 216-pound wide receiver from UCF who is known for his great hands and excellent speed.

Davis put on a show at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine logging a 4.54 forty yard dash, a 7.08 three cone drill, and a 4.59 twenty yard shuttle. He also banged out 14 bench press reps while having a 35-inch vertical jump and a 124-inch broad jump.

Davis had a very solid career at UCF logging 152 receptions for 2,447 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also had a yard per reception average of 16.1. Davis showed his ability to haul in the pass, flash his speed in the open field, and absorb contact to make contested catches.

The Saints signed Emmanuel Sanders to a two year contract this offseason, but they will still need to add more depth to the wide receiver position to stabilize Michael Thomas’ wingman for a few years past that.

A tall, speedy receiver like Gabriel Davis would be a great fit and could prove to be one of the sleeper picks of the draft. If Davis is available at pick number 130 overall, the Saints need to draft him.
