Trevon Diggs, DB, Alabama

Trevon Diggs is a 6-foot-2 star out of the University of Alabama. The cornerback has a draft projection of late-round one or early round two. Diggs is a wide receiver turned defensive back which gives him a unique understanding of receivers.

Diggs has the ability to stay with speedy wide receivers in the open field. He is arguably the best defensive back in Alabama before his injury last year. There is no doubt though that the coaching he is receiving under Nick Saban.

Over the course of this season, Diggs really improved his technical fundamentals as a defender. He tracks the ball well and reads the quarterback even better. He is better in man coverage than he is the zone, but he could thrive in the New Orleans Saints defense.

The Saints are currently in need of a cornerback after they let go of Eli Apple who needs to not be re-signed in free agency. Janoris Jenkins is an option, but that is just a short term fix to the problem, Diggs would be a long time fix.
