Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

Jonathan Taylor is a junior running back out of the University of Wisconsin. This pick would be one of those talked about picks of planning toward the future. There is a good chance that star running back Alvin Kamara is not with the team next year.

Jonathan Taylor would be a back that could immediately fill the role of Latavius Murray and eventually fill the role of Alvin Kamara. He could be just what the Saints have been looking for in the spot they draft at.

In three years at Wisconsin, Taylor has totaled 6,174 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns. He also tacks on 42 receptions for 402 yards and five receiving touchdowns. Those numbers look a lot like Kamara’s did in college.
