WR, Krishawn Hogan

This is a name that most New Orleans Saints’ fans do not know, but currently, Hogan is the 6th string wide receiver. I know what you are thinking, why would releasing a 6th string wide receiver matter to the Saints.

In reality, the draftee is going to be taking Tre’Quan Smith’s spot, but the Saints wouldn’t just release Smith. The release would fall further down the line. After Smith is Taysom Hill; he is too valuable to release. Next is Deonte Harris; he is a return specialist so not an option.

That leaves the release all the way down to Krishawn Hogan. Most likely, the Saints are going to use their first-round draft pick on a wide receiver that will slide into the No. 3 spot ahead of Tre’Quan Smith.

After that pushes everyone back, Hogan ends up becoming expendable to the team. Especially, since in two seasons with the Saints, Hogan has only tallied ten games played in and zero of them did he start.
