OL, Will Clapp

There is no denying that the offensive line for the New Orleans Saints needs help. Andrus Peat was a free agent this year and speculation were that he was leaving, but surprisingly, the Saints signed him back to the roster.

However, that still doesn’t change the fact that when he went down with an injury, neither Nick Easton or Will Clapp were good replacements for the lineman. Therefore, the Saints are going to need to turn to the draft to help with depth.

They signed Peat to a massive long-term deal making him one of the highest-paid linemen in the NFL. Therefore, they are not looking for someone to come in and make a starting impact, but rather someone to be quality insurance for the line.

When the Saints end up drafting a quality lineman, that will make Will Clapp expendable because Easton 1) is better and 2) has more experience. Easton would be able to help train the new lineman better than Clapp would.
