Signed Malcolm Jenkins: B+

Malcolm Jenkins was signed to a four-year deal worth 32 million dollars and brings with him a veteran leadership and hard-hitting play style.

Jenkins, a two-time Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler, was a part of the Saints’ first Super Bowl victory and is now back in the big easy for a second time.

Vonn Bell was let go and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, and Malcolm Jenkins provides the secondary with an upgrade at the safety position for years to come. Jenkins, 32, has had a great career and will look to continue his career where it all started.

Jenkins has 873 tackles, ten sacks, 96 passes defended, 17 interceptions, 18 forced fumbles, 11 fumbles recovered, and seven defensive touchdowns in his career. The Saints secondary desperately needed a leader and finally got one in Malcolm Jenkins.

However, the team will miss Bell, who has grown to be a fan favorite, but they (and we) wish him the best.
