Number Two: Offensive Line Security

Coming into the 2020 offseason, the Saints had Andrus Peat, a five-year starter at the guard position, facing free agency and two more offensive linemen facing free agency in 2021.

The Saints inked Andrus Peat to a five-year contract extension even after he missed several games with a broken forearm.

Many thought Andrus Peat was on the way out as he was projected to be a hot commodity in the free-agent market but ultimately decided to remain in New Orleans for the foreseeable future.

The Saints also exercised the fifth-year option for offensive Tackle and first-team All-Pro Ryan Ramczyk keeping him under contract through the 2022 season. Pro Bowl offensive tackle Terron Armstead is also under contract through 2022 securing the offensive line for a couple more years.

Larry Warford’s contract expires at the conclusion of next year but I’m sure the Saints will attempt to secure his services for the long haul. The rhythm of the offense starts with the guys up front and the Saints will keep their entire unit together for the next couple years.
