Stephone Anthony

Stephone Anthony started his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints. He spent two years there before going to play with the Miami Dolphins. After two years in Miami, Anthony came back to New Orleans on a one-year contract.

Now, Anthony is a free agent yet again. The only thing not making this a no brainer is the injury history of the Saints’ linebackers. Anthony hasn’t started over three games since his rookie year with the team in 2015.

He also hasn’t had more than 16 tackles since 112 in his rookie season. 2015 shows the potential that Anthony has to be a star athlete, but then you see 2016-2019 and think that he will never have a worthwhile career.

The New Orleans Saints, in my opinion, need to keep Anthony as nothing more than an experienced backup or insurance policy for the other starting linebackers. However, Anthony will have to take a lowered contract.
