The New Orleans Saints lost backup Teddy Bridgewater leaving the heir to Drew Brees’ throne open. Who should the team sign to take that spot?

Despite most sports shutting down, the NFL free agency has continued keeping as usual and kept fans on the edge of their seats. Huge names have been traded from their teams and others have left organizations that they’ve spent their entire careers with. The New Orleans Saints, like every other franchise, has been drastically impacted.

The quarterback position is arguably the most important position on the team, and teams around the league have made sure to hold nothing back in pursuit of their quarterbacks.

Teams like the Saints and the Vikings have ensured that they retain their familiar gunslinger of Drew Brees and Kirk Cousins by giving them both extensions.

Other organizations have been able to draw in big names from their familiar franchises like the Bucs signing Tom Brady or the Colts bringing in Phillip Rivers.

The NFC South rival Panthers have even added the insurance of XFL standout PJ Walker after signing Teddy Bridgewater this offseason.

It seems like no team has wasted time in securing their QB of the future, but there are still some quarterback free agents left on the market.

For teams that are desperate to bring in a player familiar with the league or a team like the Saints looking for some insurance for the future once their older star retires, finding these free agents can be vital.

With that being said, here’s a look at the top three quarterbacks who need a home in 2020.
