New Orleans Saints: 3 reasons why you should love Emmanuel Sanders addition
Number Three: Productiveness
Emmanuel Sanders doesn’t just bring his veteran presence and reliability to the Big Easy, but he also brings his productiveness with him as well.
Sanders has been highly productive in his ten year NFL career, hauling in 601 receptions for 7,893 yards and 42 touchdowns. He also logged an average yards per catch of 13.1 and totaled 381 first downs.
The majority of his catches have been first downs and that’s the kind of productivity the Saints need.
Despite a quarterback carousel since Peyton Manning’s retirement, Sanders has still been able to log 850 plus receiving yards in five of his last six seasons. His productivity is likely to go up considering he gets to work with one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history.
Sanders was a number one wide receiver on a San Francisco squad that managed a Super Bowl appearance and is being brought in by the Saints to compliment the services of Michael Thomas.
The former 49er brings a level of excitement the team has needed for a while as they look to finally get over the hump in the NFC.
