With wide receiver the lone spot that needs immense improvements, let’s look at potential combinations for receivers for the New Orleans Saints in 2020.

The New Orleans Saints have not had a consistent core at the wide receiver position outside of perennial Pro Bowler Michael Thomas for at least the past two seasons. That must change for continued success in 2020.

This revelation came back to haunt the team in the postseason, as the offense could only manage 23 points at the most in three home playoff games.

The 2019 regular season was a huge indicator of the lack of wideout production, with Thomas hauling in a league-record 149 receptions for 1,725 yards and nine touchdowns, while the rest of the wide receiving group combined for 56 receptions, 692 yards, and seven touchdowns.

Aside from Thomas, Brees’ main targets were Jared Cook and Alvin Kamara without another wide receiver even remotely close.

With free agency already in full swing, and the NFL Draft approaching, these are some affordable and likely wide receiver packages that the Saints could have to bolster the offense’s production in 2020.
