DeAndre Hopkins

There was absolutely no one in the football world that could have predicted that the Houston Texans were actively shopping DeAndre Hopkins. I don’t know if the Saints knew that, but if they did and missed out on this opportunity, it could be detrimental.

Houston let go of No. 1 superstar receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a 2020 fourth-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals for washed-up running back David Johnson, 2020 second-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.

The Cardinals got a steal, and everyone is left scratching their head at the Texans. If I was New Orleans, I would have given the Texans a 2020 first-round pick, 2021 fourth-round pick, and a washed-up running back for a top tier talent.

The New Orleans Saints are missing out on some high-profile talent while continuing to remain stagnant in the free agency process. If the Saints are hoping to improve their team, they are going to need to get involved and hopefully before all the good talent is gone.
