Jamie Collins

Over the past couple of weeks, the hype surrounding linebacker Jamie Collins has just grown for New Orleans Saints’ fans. With the departure of A.J. Klein, the Saints should be in the market for a replacement.

Unfortunately, they are going to miss out on this one. Their lack of urgency is really going to start hitting the Saints hard the more players they have been linked to that decision to sign with a team who is ready to make a deal.

Collins ended up signing a 3-year, $30 million deal with the Detroit Lions. Getting Collins for $10 million a year is a good deal. The Saints could have used a replacement like him in the linebacker position hole.

The seven-year veteran finish last season with three interceptions (one for a touchdown), seven passes defended, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 7.0 sacks, 81 tackles (10 for a loss), and he hit the quarterback ten times.
