Devin Funchess

Devin Funchess is going to end up being a one and done in Indianapolis. Devin Funchess was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2015 and played with them for four years before coming to Indianapolis last year.

Now, the 6-foot-4 receiver is on the free agency market again. Imagine having a wide receiver so tall and so quick that he could beat cornerbacks or simply jump over them to get the ball that you threw them? Sounds nice, right?

Insert Funchess. He was a rising star with the Panthers, peaking in 2017 with 63 receptions for 840 yards and eight touchdowns. That was just a little glimpse into what the receiver out of Michigan can truly do.

In his one year with Indianapolis, Funchess only saw one game in which he had three receptions for 32 yards. In the season opener, Funchess went down with a clavicle injury that put him on the IR the rest of the year.

If the Saints can get their hands on Funchess for the right price, he could be just the opposite power needed to confuse defenses and let the New Orleans Saints’ offense thrive.
