Washington Redskins, OL, Trent Williams

The foreseeable departure of Andrus Peat in free agency is going to leave a vast hole on the offensive line that not just anyone can come off of the street and fill. However, Trent Williams could be the guy the Saints are looking for.

According to Gregg Rosenthal from NFL.com, “A quick check of NFL rosters indicates that it’s harder to find a franchise left tackle than it is to find a franchise quarterback. It’s even harder to find a borderline Hall-of-Fame talent at the position like Trent Williams.”

It has been a skeptical dream for years that Trent Williams will leave the Redskins especially after how their staff handled his health situation. However, with new coach Ron Rivera, Williams might be more inclined to want to stay.

Could the Redskins pass up on two third-round picks for the nine-year tackle who didn’t play a single game in the 2019 season? The Saints might just be able to pull this off and solidify the line for a long time with the seven-time Pro Bowler.
