3 teams that will have an impact on the New Orleans Saints offseason
Number Three: Dallas Cowboys
The Saints, and really every other NFL team, will have their eyes glued to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason and the deals they will be giving to their two marquee free agents, Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper.
Dallas doesn’t really have the money to do much, but they do have the capability of completely resetting the value of the quarterback and wide receiver positions, both of which will be areas of interest for the Saints in the near future.
The Cowboys already sent an offer to quarterback Dak Prescott worth 105 million dollars that he turned down in hopes of more money. That contract would have given him the richest contract in NFL history.
Amari Cooper is also expected to get a deal that could be equal to or larger than Michael Thomas’ deal he signed in 2019. The Cowboys’ primary focus will be on re-signing their two franchise cornerstones which means other great players will hit the market.
Players like Byron Jones, Sean Lee, and Randall Cobb are all likely to hit the market and the Saints will likely pursue at least one of them. Dallas is set to reset the value of multiple positions would be problematic for the Saints trying to bring in free agents this offseason.
