Number One: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Any football fan knows that a team like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a team on the rise. Fresh off a 7-9 season in one of the toughest divisions in football, head coach Bruce Arians has his Buccaneers team pointed in the right direction.

As one of the New Orleans Saints’ most competitive rivals, their offseason will be huge in regards to acquiring the needed talent to compete with the top dogs.

Heading into the 2020 offseason with over 84 million dollars in cap space and only three notable free agents (Jameis Winston, Shaquil Barrett, and Breshad Perriman), the sky is the limit for Tampa Bay.

The biggest decision the Buccaneers have to make is their decision on veteran quarterback Jameis Winston. Winston had 30 interceptions to go along with his 33 touchdowns and 5,109 yards in 2019, displaying numerous flaws.

Not only does Tampa Bay have to make a decision on Winston, they also came out and said they have strong interest in the Saints’ quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

Bridgewater completed nearly 68 percent of his passes for 1,384 yards and nine touchdowns while leading the Saints to a 5-0 record in the absence of Drew Brees in 2019.

If the Buccaneers use their money to strengthen their offensive line and add some help to the defense, the Bucs could be a team the Saints would have to directly compete with this offseason.
