QB, Drew Brees

Drew Brees’ future was completely up in the air about a month ago. Since he has completed his 19th season, the future Hall-of-Famer’s decision to retire or play again was the biggest talk around the Saints.

During the unknown time, Brees had made a statement that if he was to return, he would only want to play with the black and gold. From that day, New Orleans Saints’ fans breathed a sigh of relief. Now, it was just up to him playing or not.

Drew Brees announced shortly after via Instagram that he was coming back for his 20th season to play another year of football. There is no telling how much longer the all-pro quarterback will be playing, but we will enjoy it during that time.

That last piece is that the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees have to come to contract negotiations. Just because he made that statement and said he was coming back, doesn’t make him automatically a Saint. They still have to agree on contract terms.
