The Draft

Enticing options remain in the draft (Damon Arnette–calling it now) but the Saints could just as well surprise everyone by standing pat and re-signing Eli Apple, who seems to only lack confidence as opposed to talent.

At 24 years old, Apple is still developing, and the Saints don’t easily give up on their own. And, without a second-round pick, it seems rather obvious that the Saints may fill other holes with their first-round pick.

Cornerback is a pressing need, but they can secure that depth in the third round with a player like Cameron Dantzler. He’s a perfect late-round target that could fulfill a huge need for the New Orleans Saints.

In conclusion: New Orleans, without a doubt, will be making a move at the cornerback position–be it by trade, signature, or draft. Either way, Saint’s fans can expect to see a few new faces in Dennis Allen’s offense come August.
