Number One: Jimmy Graham

Jimmy Graham played with the New Orleans Saints from 2010 through 2014 after being selected by the team in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Graham, a 6-foot-7 tight end, was recently told by his current team (the Green Bay Packers) that he would likely be either released or traded following a disappointing season. The Packers would cut Graham in order to create more cap space.

This is not unfamiliar territory for the Saints as they have a bit of a reputation of bringing back former players towards the end of their careers. Players brought back include the likes of Jahri Evans, Patrick Robinson, and Robert Meachem.

Graham, a five-time Pro Bowler, was pursued by the Saints in the 2018 free agency period where he ultimately decided to join the Green Bay Packers instead. At 33 years old, Graham could simply be ring chasing as the end of the road is near for him.

Joining the Saints makes perfect sense as they need help at the wide receiver position (Jimmy Graham lined up as a wide receiver more than he did as a tight end in his first stint with New Orleans), and he can reunite with the quarterback he had the most success with: Drew Brees.

Jimmy Graham has 649 receptions for 7,883 yards and 74 touchdowns in his career.

The Saints could use the services of Jimmy Graham, and Jimmy should consider coming back to the Big Easy in pursuit of his first Super Bowl ring.
