Jimmy Graham is set to become a free agent this offseason as the Packers reportedly look to move on. Are the New Orleans Saints a viable option for him?

Jimmy Graham’s days with the New Orleans Saints were electric.

From flexing after first downs to goal post slam dunks, the Drew Brees to Jimmy Graham dynamic was sure fun to watch.

During his five-year tenure in New Orleans, Graham was lights out catching 51 touchdowns and amassing over 4,700 receiving yards earning him 3 Pro Bowl appearances for his efforts. Everything wasn’t as rosy as it seemed though.

A positional contract dispute took place in 2014 that led to an arbitration ruling to whether or not Graham should be paid as a tight end or a wide receiver. Graham’s contention was that he lined up 67% of his snaps as a wideout and that he should be paid as one.

The judge ruled in favor of the Saints and deemed Graham be designated at his natural position as a tight end. Couple this distraction with the alleged locker room issues for Graham and his days in New Orleans were numbered.
