Chase Daniel will be the most cost-effective option.

The last reason that Chase Daniel would be the perfect backup replacement for Teddy Bridgewater is probably the most important and that is the fact that he is not going to cost the New Orleans Saints a ton of money.

Already being close to the max on the salary cap, especially when they think about the 20+ free agents they already have, the Saints are going to need to go cheap. Daniel’s age makes him the ideal target for the Saints.

His contract with the Bears was for $5 million per year. If the New Orleans Saints can get Daniel back for below that, I would consider that a win. However, I would still consider paying him up to $5 million per year for a max of two years.
