Clemson, CB, A.J. Terrell

A.J. Terrell is a 6-foot-1 junior out of the University of Clemson. He is rather untalked about cornerback in a deep class entering this year’s NFL Draft. However, the best thing about Terrell is that there is really no red flags that jump out.

Terrell has quick feet and an innate ability to follow the receiver. He covers tights and tends to not let the receivers get a lot of room to make the separation. He reads the secondary well while remaining unphased from the play.

He could use more skills when approaching a tackle. He often shook off in college from tackles. He also doesn’t have very much weight on him at only 190 pounds. He loved to bait quarterbacks in college, which might prove fatal in the NFL.

Throughout the last two years as a starter, Terrell grew tremendously. He has a full toolbox that he will gift a team on draft day. The New Orleans Saints would be wise to pay attention to how his Scouting Combine goes on Sunday.
