Florida, CB, C.J. Henderson

CJ Henderson has been labeled an elite cornerback. Henderson has the potential to be a top cornerback in the NFL during his career. Henderson was one of those cornerbacks that quarterbacks avoided in the open field.

Henderson’s best quality is his ability to control his body on the field. Calm and collected, Henderson reads the eyes of the quarterback and makes a big push on the ball. Henderson pairs his body control with his extraordinary instinct to read the play.

For being 6-foot-1, Henderson’s frame doesn’t match that size and neither does his wingspan. Henderson needs to improve his speed getting off the line of scrimmage with faster wide receivers.

He doesn’t necessarily have elite speed or quickness so he will need to work on those.

Fortunately, the New Orleans Saints made Marshon Lattimore. The coaches can do the same thing to Henderson. You can heighten speed and quickness, but the qualities he possesses can’t be taught which could prove him very valuable.
