LSU, OT, Saahdiq Charles

At 6-foot-4, 295 pounds, Charles is a little leaner than the average offensive tackle. The junior is coming off of a championship performance protecting the best quarterback in the nation with Joe Burrow and LSU.

He could fit in nicely protecting Drew Brees. Charles is not a player who could actually come in and make an immediate impact on the team though. His best trait is his athleticism and being able to move on the line and up and down the field.

He has quick feet and smooth movements on the line making it a pain for a defensive lineman to get around him. However, his biggest downfall might be forgoing his senior season. Many analysts believe that Charles is just not ready for the NFL yet.

The reason Burrow was passing on the run so often is that the line was allowing too many pressures. However, what’s done is done and Charles is going to the draft. He still deserves to be looked at as a guy the Saints could develop for the future.
