Number Two: Andrus Peat

Andrus Peat was the thirteenth overall pick for the New Orleans Saints back in 2015.

Peat has played well in his time with the Saints but injuries have really stunted his potential. While he does have a few Pro Bowl appearances to his name, Peat was the weakest link of an otherwise solid offensive line.

Peat is a 26-year-old 6-foot-7 guard. He can also play tackle, having excellent speed for his size. Peat, a two-time Pro Bowler, made over $9 million with the Saints last season when they opted to pick up his fifth-year option this past offseason.

Peat suffered a broken arm which caused him to miss the majority of the 2019 season. Newly-acquired Nick Easton played well in Peat’s spot last season which is cause for concern for any Saints fan who considers Peat a fan favorite.

His high injury rate and the steep price tag will likely keep the Saints away from trying to re-sign Peat in New Orleans for 2020 and beyond.
