New Orleans Saints: 4 combine players to watch on Thursday
Arizona State, WR, Brandon Aiyuk
Brandon Aiyuk is a big play type of receiver. He has the possibility to be the threat that the New Orleans Saints were missing last year. With Thomas as a mid-range wide receiver, Aiyuk could be the perfect opposite-field complement.
One of Aiyuk’s best abilities is his keen insight to be able to track a ball in mid-air and then go and retrieve that ball — that is what makes him such a deep threat. He is also a great off-ball defender and has experience playing special teams.
The things to watch on Thursday will be his route running technique and his hand ability coming off of a route. He has a smaller frame so his physicality has come into question a lot as well. Overall though, Aiyuk has been climbing draft charts.
Looking ahead to Thursday, the New Orleans Saints need to keep an eye out on these three players and how they perform. They could end up being the future of the black and gold for years to come down the road.
