Oklahoma, QB, Jalen Hurts

The last player for the New Orleans Saints to watch on Thursday is Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts. This is not a first-round pick option for the Saints but could end up being a third or fourth-round pick option later in the draft.

With Teddy Bridgewater likely leaving and Taysom Hill a question mark, the Saints could use a young quarterback to train and mentor. Jalen Hurts progressed massively since his days with the University of Alabama.

He came into Oklahoma as a pure running quarterback and he came out as a more reliable throwing quarterback. The senior quarterback threw for almost 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns with only eight interceptions last year.

He could definitely be looked at as a future NFL starting quarterback if given the right coaching and time to mature that the New Orleans Saints could give him. They did it with Drew Brees and now Brees would be able to mentor Hurts.
