The potential holdout of Alvin Kamara.

Now, this point in extremely potential and circumstantial, it could or could not happen. But if the past is any indicator, the New Orleans Saints will either have to pay Alving Kamar or watch him sit out this year for another contract next year.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell held out in the final year of his rookie contract and ended up not playing a game at all for the Steelers that year and went on to sign a huge multi-year deal with the New York Jets that next year.

Los Angeles Chargers’ Melvin Gordon held out in the final year of his contract last year. It was different than Bell because Gordon had to come back by week 10 for it to be considered a season for him to move into free agency so he did.

Kamar is in the last year of his rookie deal and is set to be an unrestricted free agent next year. If the past holds true, the New Orleans Saints could be forced to pay superstar running back Alvin Kamara or risk him holding out of the season until they do.
