The potential loss of key free agents.

The New Orleans Saints have 24 current free agents counting both unrestricted and restricted free agents. That number includes eight starters and all three quarterbacks that were a part of the 2019 roster.

While all of them won’t necessarily leave, there is a possibility that the Saints lose more than one key starter on offense and defense. Vonn Bell could leave a hole at safety, Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill could leave huge holes on the offense.

Andrus Peat, Eli Apple, AJ Klein, PJ Williams, and David Oneymata are just a couple more names that if they all leave, the New Orleans Saints could be hurting next year. It takes time to develop young players they won’t just shine next year.

The New Orleans Saints could potentially put a whole new team out there behind Drew Brees and Michael Thomas than they had that year and for that reason, there is some cause to worry about how next year will go down.
