Will No. 41 holdout for a better contract?

Another big question that could arise but may not, is Alvin Kamara. Kamara is in the final year of his rookie contract and is up for a huge payday. Currently, he is making $964,443 which is nothing compared to what he deserves.

According to Spotrac, Kamara’s market value is around $15.5 million per year. With that being the case, there is a good chance Kamara will be looking for something in the ballpark of 4-years, $62 million come next offseason.

We have seen plenty of players coming off of rookie contracts sit out the final year of their contract in order to ensure that they won’t get hurt and will still have a value of $62 million. The most notable in recent memory are Steelers’, Le’ Veon Bell and Chargers’, Melvin Gordon.

For all we know, Alvin Kamara could not hold out, he could play a full healthy season and get his $62 million next year. However, he could also hold out until the New Orleans Saints decided to fork over the money he is worth or let him go.
