Taysom Hill

Taysom Hill has been another one of the most talked-about free agents going into the 2020 free agency period. Mostly, the hype has been around him being the potential franchise quarterback in New Orleans, but Drew Brees is returning now.

Last year, the Saints used Taysom Hill as a Swiss Army knife. He played a little bit of tight end, receiver, running back, quarterback, and a plethora of special teams spots. He was rarely seen in the same spot on the field twice.

However, Hill made it known that he wanted to be a starting quarterback and would leave New Orleans if they weren’t willing to offer him that. Unfortunately, with Drew Brees returning, they cannot offer him that.

But, it is still pertinent that the New Orleans Saints seek to sign Hill to another contract going into this year. The versatility he brings joy to Sean Payton. He also was the single playmaker in the Wild Card loss to the Vikings.

Hill is a restricted free agent which means that the New Orleans Saints will be able to match any offer given by another team before Hill could accept another offer. Therefore, they will have the choice at him, if they truly want him.
