Los Angeles Chargers

One of the biggest decisions made thus far in the free agency was that the Los Angeles Chargers and Pro-Bowl caliber quarterback Philip Rivers mutually agreed to part ways. Now, that leaves a vacancy at the position for the Chargers.

The Chargers’ current backup is Tyrod Taylor. He is not the option the Chargers are looking for, but Taysom Hill could be. Hill could be just the guy Anthony Lynn and Shane Steichen are looking for to shake up the current mediocrity the Chargers are stuck in.

Hill could give the Chargers a quarterback like Philip Rivers was not. The versatility that Hill presents matched with the need that the Chargers have could be a good fit for both sides going forward into next year.

Also, with Rivers’ contract gone, that opens up the money needed to sign Hill to a contract out of the reach that the New Orleans Saints couldn’t afford to match. Remember that he is restricted so they will have to make an offer out of the reach of the Saints to match.
