With Brees’ return, the New Orleans Saints should go all out for a Super Bowl

Number Two: LB Joe Schobert

Joe Schobert has been nothing but productive since he was drafted in the fourth round back in 2016 by the Cleveland Browns.

The Saints are in need of some help at the linebacker position and signing a 26-year-old who is still highly productive would completely alter the defense for the better. Schobert is coming off another great season in 2019 where he racked up 133 tackles, two sacks, and four interceptions.

The Saints need a linebacker who can play well in coverage and is a consistent playmaker aside from Demario Davis. Joe Schobert could fit that mold. Schobert is a Pro-Bowl caliber player, and he plays outside linebacker, which is an area of need.

The Cleveland Browns are currently trying to work on a new contract with him but maybe a competitive team like the Saints could lure him away from Cleveland. Again, the Saints would need strong cap flexibility to make this possible.
