Darius Slay for the No. 24 pick in the draft

The Detriot Lions finished just third to last, last year in the NFL. If they are not looking to add Apple or Jenkins, they are definitely looking to add draft stock to their name. The New Orleans Saints are poised to take a cornerback with the No. 24 pick.

However, it could be easier if they trade that pick for a known quality cornerback that will give them star level play from the beginning of the season. I know the Saints develop players well, but it would force them to focus on other draft positions and younger guys.

When it comes down to it, the New Orleans Saints secondary would go from the weakest link on the team to one of the strong points with the addition of Darius Slay. If at all possible, the Saints need to make this deal happen.
