Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is a quality replacement for Bell.

As stated before, the New Orleans Saints make a living off of paying big contracts as little as possible and putting their focus on developing younger players to take the place. That is exactly what they have done with CGJ and Bell.

CGJ was a rookie last year and will be on his rookie contract for a couple more years. In his first year, his stats were excellent compared to the seven games he started. He has also been labeled and one of the biggest potential sophomore breakouts for next year.

CGJ was the only player with more forced incompletions than first downs or touchdowns allowed in the slot this year. He also added one interception, eight passes deflected, 46 tackles and six tackles for a loss in his rookie year.

If Vonn Bell walks, the New Orleans Saints are in perfect position with CGJ and Marcus Williams to continue to thrive in the safety position. Therefore, no Saints’ fan should be worried about a decline should Bell walk.
